Terms of Service

Last updated September 3, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of ShowThrottle. They cover how you may use the platform, what we are responsible for, and what we are not. Please read them before creating an account.

1. Who we are, and what ShowThrottle is

ShowThrottle is a software platform operated by Old Dawg Studios LLC ("we," "us"). It gives car clubs tools to publish shows, take registrations, collect entry and sponsorship fees, run crowd voting, and manage show day.

We are not the organizer of any car show listed on ShowThrottle. Shows are created, run, judged, and cancelled by the clubs and individuals who publish them. When you register for a show, your agreement about that show is with the organizing club. We provide the software they use.

This distinction matters if something goes wrong at an event. Questions about a show's schedule, judging, awards, venue, or refunds go to the organizing club. We can help you reach them, but we cannot decide those things for them.

2. Accepting these terms

You accept these terms when you create an account or otherwise use ShowThrottle. If you do not agree with them, do not use the platform.

If you accept these terms for a car club or business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" includes it.

3. Eligibility and age

ShowThrottle is offered only to users in the United States. We do not direct the platform to users elsewhere and do not design it to meet non-U.S. privacy or consumer law.

We do not collect dates of birth, so these limits rest on what you tell us. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 14, we will remove it.

4. Your account

Keep your password private and your contact details current. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@showthrottle.com if you believe someone else has access to it.

One person, one account. Do not create additional accounts to vote more than once, evade a suspension, or misrepresent who you are.

5. Roles on the platform

Different people use ShowThrottle differently, and the obligations differ with them.

Clubs and show organizers

If you publish a show, you are responsible for running it: accurate listings, dates, locations, classes, entry prices, and rules; any permits, insurance, or licenses the event requires; judging and awards; honoring the refund terms described in our Refund and Cancellation Policy; and handling presenter and sponsor money that reaches your account, including any taxes owed on it.

Presenters

Describe your vehicle accurately, show up for what you registered for or cancel in time, and follow the organizing club's rules at the event.

Sponsors

Sponsorship submissions are reviewed by the organizing club before they appear publicly. Submitting one is not a guarantee of placement. You are responsible for having the right to use any logo or artwork you upload.

Judges and voters

Vote honestly and once per vehicle where the show allows one vote. Do not attempt to manipulate results by any means, including additional accounts, automated tools, or interference with QR codes or car numbers.

6. Payments

Payments run through Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers. Using ShowThrottle to send or receive money also means agreeing to Stripe's applicable terms.

Entry fees and sponsorship fees

These are collected on behalf of the organizing club and are paid into that club's connected Stripe account. The club, not ShowThrottle, is the seller for these transactions. Refunds of entry and sponsorship fees come from the club's funds and are the club's responsibility under our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Fees paid to us

Fees for creating and publishing a show are paid to ShowThrottle. Their terms are described in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Pricing changes

We may change what we charge for our own services. Changes will not apply to a show you have already paid to publish.

7. Content you upload

Vehicle photos, descriptions, club and sponsor logos, and anything else you upload stay yours. You give us permission to store and display that content where the platform is designed to display it — on show pages, dockets, vehicle pages, printed placards, results, and similar.

Upload only content you have the right to use. Do not upload anything unlawful, misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights.

Some of what you upload is public. Show dockets, vehicle pages, and results are viewable by anyone with the link, including people who never sign in. Do not put anything in a vehicle description or photo that you would not want publicly visible.

If you believe content on ShowThrottle infringes your copyright, write to support@showthrottle.com with enough detail to identify the work and where it appears, and we will review it.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use ShowThrottle to break the law, harass anyone, or misrepresent who you are. Do not attempt to access accounts, shows, or data that are not yours; probe or interfere with the platform's security; scrape it in bulk; or use it to distribute malware or unsolicited commercial messages.

We may suspend or remove an account, a show, or a piece of content that violates these terms.

9. Availability

We work to keep ShowThrottle running, especially on show days, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. The platform depends on third parties including Stripe, Google Firebase, and our hosting providers, and an outage at any of them can affect it.

Plan for this if you run a show. Keep a printed docket or a paper backup for check-in. We are not responsible for losses caused by an outage or by data unavailable at a moment you needed it.

10. Disclaimers

ShowThrottle is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not verify the accuracy of show listings, the legitimacy of any club, the condition or ownership of any vehicle, or the fairness of any judging or vote. We are not responsible for anything that happens at a car show, including injury, vehicle damage or theft, disputes over awards, cancelled or relocated events, or the conduct of organizers, presenters, or attendees.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost opportunity, arising from your use of ShowThrottle.

Our total liability for any claim relating to ShowThrottle is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred dollars ($100). Fees paid to a club are not amounts paid to us.

Some states do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from your use of ShowThrottle, your content, a show you organize, or your violation of these terms or of anyone else's rights.

13. Ending your use

You may stop using ShowThrottle at any time and ask us to close your account at support@showthrottle.com. We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms or creates risk for other users.

Closing an account does not by itself cancel a registration, refund a fee, or remove a show that other people have registered for. Sort those out first — see the Refund and Cancellation Policy. Records we must keep for tax, accounting, or dispute purposes survive account closure.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will make a reasonable effort to notify account holders. Continuing to use ShowThrottle after a change means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.

Before filing anything, please write to support@showthrottle.com. Nearly everything is faster to fix directly.

16. Other terms

If any provision here is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer this agreement; we may transfer it in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Together with the Privacy Policy and the Refund and Cancellation Policy, this is the entire agreement between you and us about ShowThrottle.
